Oil in coolant?

I just bought a 2003 King Ranch with 128,000 miles on it. When I bought it I looked it over and everything to the naked eye seemed to be ok. After driving it home 350 miles and putting about another 250 miles in it this past week there is now oil in the coolant.

Does this mean that the head gaskets are blown or could it be the EGR?
I am new to diesels so I thought I would ask before I explore my options if what to do next.

Normally it's engine oil cooler if oil in fuel, egr is exhaust and coolant. There are a lot of posts about how to fix, not too difficult for a good mechanic. Recommended to change egr and oil cooler while in there and flush system really good if you do yourself. If u just bought I would think the seller would help in some way.

Well I got a price today to have the EGR and oil cooler changed out for $1700-$1900.
Is that a decent price?

I just bought this truck last week so this is a little annoying but with any used car I should have taken a better look at it.

Second question is what do you guys think about what I paid for it. It is a 2003 F250 King ranch crew cab short bed with 128,000 miles fully loaded with camper shell, fully carpeted bed, 4" lift with good 35's, front dual bypass shocks. The truck is very clean with only a few minor scratches and one little ding.
I paid $12,500 for it.

Doesn't sound like bad price if you trust the person doing the work. The quality of maintenance and repairs is important on these trucks. Fixed right and with proper fluids these trucks are very durable and fun!
. . New king ranch is about $70,000 . . If yours is clean and you like it then good deal, especially extras included! Plus out of factory warranty you can mod away! Welcome to the powerstroke clan!

I asked him a lot of questions in regards to the fluids and he responded appropriately with all fluids will be drained and the cooling system will be flushed multiple times with flush and distilled water until there is no residue of oil or other contaminants. All filters will be motorcraft and the proper coolant will be out in.

This seemed like the right answer to me and I was pleased when they could quote me the price on the phone (of course not all things are known until they are in there). This leads me to believe that they have performed enough of these to know exactly what they are doing.
