Fuel pressure

I installed the blue spring kit, then finally got my fuel pressure gauge in about 2 weeks after that. I didn't bleed the new line to the sending unit, and I'm getting a reading of 79 to 82 psi at idle. Sometimes the. Needle will jump to 100 and back down at idle (like electrical surge). Is maintaining that PSI goin to damage my injectors? I know some people run a 100psi spring kit.

Not bleeding the line is the problem. Insure the line is free of air and evaluate your PSI. Post back your findings.

Or a leaking copper crush washer.

HeavyAssault: thanks, I'll post after I do that.

Lenzhotrod: there aren't any copper crush washers in that line, and there are no leaks.

So I tried bleeding the line. Loosened it while running and Got some air bubbles. Tightened it back up and checked the gauge and it was at 85 and slowly settled to 80. I'm not really wanting to pull the blue spring, but might have to. Can anyone tell me how to check the gauge for accuracy?

I would try another gauge. .

The washer I'm talking about is on the end of a injector! If loose will do what you are describing.
