Hard Cold Start P2284
I recently installed a EGR delete and rebuilt my oil cooler on my 2006 king ranch. The check engine light came on shortly after running the truck. The Code is P2284 ICP circuit. The truck takes a little cranking to start when its cold, when it's hot it starts no problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you break a wire to sensor when you did the cooler?

I don't think I did. I was thought I might have. The truck died today, probably the worst time to do it when I was towing my boat. Towed my boat to the gas station and when I tried to start it again it would would not start. Cranked it till the batteries died, had to get the truck towed. Pulled the IPR and the screen had some build up and it was dented in not broken. I have been driving the truck for week now since doing the EGR delete. I read that the IPR often goes bad after doing a oil cooler and EGR delete which I just did. Really frustrated, thinking of getting rid of the truck and a tundra.

IPR isn't hard to replace.

I replaced the IPR and the truck started up on the first try and has been running good for a week now. I gotta get a SCT tuner to turn off the CEL for the EGR
