6.0 hard starting runs rough cold and great when warm
Hey guys I have a 04 6.0 F350. Egr delete. I just bought the truck so I'm not sure what else has been done to it. When the temperature is anywhere around 32 outside I have to crank it for around five minutes total with it barely catching on any cylinders. When it finally runs it has no power and runs really rough. But once it gets up to operating temperature it will almost boil the 35" tires off of it. I tested the ficm and it has49 volts all the time. I have no clue what to look for next. Please help!!!

Classic case of "Stiction" the oil side of the injectors get sticky wich develops friction, REVX normally helps alot to cover the problem but it realy doesn't fix it, it just makes it stay away as long as you use it. New/ Rebuilt Ford injectors are modified to help get rid of the stiction issues. Most of the time once the oil reaches about 140deg it goes away, right??

That's is exactly right. But is there anything I could try other than revx. I don't have a dealer anywhere near me at all
|
You can try hot shot secret. It's available at tractor supply around here. And both products are available online. Just remember you are just buying time to save up!
|
Havent ever heard any good things on the hot shots. Revx works for sure.

Rev-X is the liquid gold for the 6.0. Try it one time and you will be a believer. I tried it and will never run any kind of oil additive in my 6.0 except Rev-X

Hey guys. I've been running the revx for about a week and a half. And it is still hard starting in the mornings. Like this morning it was about 38 outside and it had to warm up for about 5 mins before it would idle nicely. Any ideas?

How many miles have you put on truck?
|
About 400
|
That should be plenty. Did you install with a fresh oil change? Two bottles? Normally it gets better after miles and warm up cycles. Could be too late, might have to go on and replace the problem injectors.
