Lost power help

2004 f250 4x4 lights on dash went dim abs light came on and all gauges went out. Abs light stayed on ands air bag and battery light came on. Tryed to limp her home then all the waning lights started to flash on and off and she died. Been having a problem with batteries going dead when she sits for two or three days. Have a sct flash tuner set on preformance caned tune. I also keep getting a kam code. Any help I would appreciate.

Maybe it is a bad alternator, but if the batts go dead from sitting then they are pobably bad, have them tested. these trucks need alot of juice to run right so a weak battery will definately hurt it.

I would say batts and Altenator also. I just had issues with mine also, my 04 has the dual Altenator/belt setup and the regulator went out of my secondary Altenator and I would randomly start pushin up to 18 volts at times. And when it got over 16 volts I believe everything would shut down except for the basics to keep the truck rolling. Everything in the cab was dead except for the clock on the radio.

Ended up Being the alternator. We load tested the batteries and they checked out. Then tested the alternator it was defiantly bad. The truck did some pretty funky stuff when it went out though. I was afraid it was something more than a battery or alternator. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it.

Did you ever get a FICM code with your bad alternator?
