Oil leak after EGR delete/oil cooler install

I recently, well, just finished my EGR delete, new oil cooler, coolant filtration kit, blue spring upgrade adn FICM from ED with ATlats tune. I also put my leveling kit on...looks nice!

Sicne i put all the parts in my truck, my truck seems to take a little bit longer to start? It took a few tries before she would start. Once she started running, I noticed the engine would surge or idle up for a brief second.
Then I noticed oil leaking on the ground:( I known it's leaking from the turbo oil feed line. I was not sure if there was a gasket there or not. So, I made a gasket to put on the turbo feed line from left over material I had from my old Vette EGR gasket. It did not work, she's spuing out oil from the top of the turbo. I'm tired of working on my truck.....I hurt.

1 Anyway, what could be causing the surge I hear while she's ideling? I have no codes or check engine light on.
2 Prolonged start causes?

3 And do I need a gasket for the oil feed line to the top of the turbo?

thanks for the help, I"m gonna have another beer and go to bed:humm:

Well, scratch the bed and beer. I went out and took the oil feed line off and found the new gasket I made and the old one. I was not sure if the feed line had a gasket or not....guess it does.

I put the old gasket on and it seemed like it was in good condition. I sealed up the two bolts with gasket in place...it's still leaking, just not as bad. Man, I hope I did not bust the oil feed line...that would be my luck.

Any thougths on this?

You need a new gasket. Also, if you have the old flexible steel braided turbo feed line you can get new updated hard line with gaskets and o ring. The hard start and maybe even the surge should clear up after you put some miles on the truck and get all the air worked out of the system.

Surge is gone. I drove her around the block and the surge is gone, now.....time to fix the leak:argh:

I am out of "car shape"

That little gasket did the trick! The old gasket looked fine, but definalty didn't work. Glad to be done with this project! GLAD! Now I can enjoy her.
