oil cooler

So i have heard that some people are moving the oil cooler and doin a remote cooler have any of you guys gone this or what do ya think about it.

If I went 100,000 miles without a coolant filter, the ~$400 I spent on the new oil cooler and coolant filter was quite a bargain compared to the $1200 price tag of a remote oil cooler. Let's face it, there isn't much space under the hood to be adding stuff. That and putting the oil cooler in front of the AC condenser/intercooler/radiator doesn't seem well placed to me.

Pretty common for people to blame a part when they don't do routine maintenance.

They are not good for city driving or idleing alot. If it was stricktly for highway use they are not bad but they are way overpriced.

No kidding, oil coolers are cheap and if you replaced one once the second time is atleast half the time.

Honestly, $1200 was a guess.

My point was that if I went 100,000 miles without a coolant filter, adding the filter should yeild 150~200,00 out of this one.
