Fass Titanium 125 stand alone
 

Has any1 installed a fass 125 stand alone with minor mods? If you have how does it work and are the factory lines big enough to carry volume. I was planing to remove secondary filter as well. If any one has used and has information I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a FASS 125 ti. Installed it when my frame mounted stock fuel pump got tired.
Put a 5/8" pick up in the tank when I did the fill and vent tube snip.

The FASS bypasses the frame mount pump and filter. So mine are removed.
I am still using stock lines forward of the old frame mount location. But have done banjo bolts
and Blue spring.

The FASS is set to 55lbs (I believe) so you will have to stretch the pressure spring in the FASS slightly to get the 65lbs with the Blue spring.
(NOTE: FASS does not approve of pressure adjustments)

So far I have not seen any pressure drop (68 lbs) under heavy load. I also have a flashed FICM, Edge Juice, big exhaust, upgraded air pipes/intake, etc.....

So so far the FASS works great. Whine of the pump is little loud but then so is the rest of truck !
Hope to be able to lift the cab this winter and do studs and a regulated return fuel plumbing.

How are you seeing 68lbs of fuel pressure if the FASS is set to 55lbs??

Thanks for the info, I just got done with the cab off all the Bullet Proof Diesel upgrades, power max turbo, Casserly 155, head work done by Mountain High Performance, driven diesel regulated return, bla bla bla all the surprises we bought with the truck. Anyway thanks. On the secondary filter did you just pull it out? When I bought the Fass system it was sold to me that it eliminated the filters completely that wasn't the case. With that regulated return it can easily be done. Now that I no the fass will work I will install it. Thanks again.

Shimming the spring would be a better idea. Stretching the spring weakens it a little which could cause an unwanted pressure drop, but it is a good temporary fix. You may have to play with the thickness of the shim to get the desired pressure. A draw straw is a great upgrade for the pump to get an unrestricted path from the tank to the pump, but it is not mandatory. Any other questions just give me a call: 636-433-2962

Fass - Fuel Air Separation System

I have a regulated return on my fuel system now, what is fords actual spec for the fuel pressure ? I have worked on Cat engines for over 20 years now and 65 psi would be the highest I've seen even to fuel a 3516. At what point is the pressure going to start working on the O-rings? Is there something special about these ford injectors requiring that much pressure or with the right fuel pump and adequate size lines to carry the volume wouldn't 55 psi be enough as long as it didn't drop under acceleration? Or is the 65psi a buffer for the smaller supply lines?:humm:

There is 1 guy who is selling a 100 lbs fuel pressure spring. Don't know the results.

I have been told that the ford FI max rating is 70 lbs.

Thanks I have 67 psi In the return lines until I get on it the the digital gauge drops to under 35 psi. That is with the stock ford pump new filters and relief set at 67. My concern was is that I don't think the stock fuel lines will carry the volume that is needed. I think I'm going to put new fuel lines from the Fass to the engine and eliminate the filter housing all together. My oil filter housing is gone so I just as well get rid of that no flowing wreck 2.

Mine would only hit 56, even after the blue spring. Then it started dropping to 0 during spirited foot to the floor events. Changed every filter, fuel pressure sender, add 5/8" fuel
pickup/hose (DrivenDiesel), etc. The stock pump was shot !

With FASS it now sits at 68 unless I let the tank get down to 1/8th. Then the pressure starts to get iffy.
