04' 6.0 vacuum leak noise (turbo)

just got done puting on an egr delete from rcd. i had white smoke and loosing coolent. after install truck started right up but now im getting what sounds like a big vacuum leak from turbo. the turbo seems like it either loosing pressure or just not building it up. by the way no more white smoke.:tu:. any thoughts

The most common leak is the Ypipe to turbo connection, it is a pain to get it lined up right without loosening the uppipes.

for me, it was the hardest part of doing the egr delete. did it myself:s: gonna try to get a friend over on monday to help. up or y pipe, thats what im hearing from the nice people helping me here... try it again.. it took me awhile to get the turbo on the mounting braket so it would match up with the y & up pipe. it looked good when i put the clamps back on. ill see. thanks for the help

was the y pipe. it was a pain in the butt. mainly because i did it my self. had to loosen the turbo and use a couple of pry bars but after an hr and half, got it to line up. def a 2 person job, because you need atleast 3 hands in there... thank you

My first EGR delete took me over 12 hours to do, and by the time I was done I was SHOT. Started the truck up and the damn thing had an exhaust leak right at the y-pipe to turbo connection. I was so frustrated I just left it. I probably drove it for a month like that. Finally one day I decided it needed to be addressed. I kicked myself after because it took me all of 30 minutes to get everything seated nice and tight by doing it the RIGHT way lol.... went for a whole month and it took me hardly any time at all to fix it.
