hpop backing plate cracked 6.0l psd

Hey everyone, last time I posted I had some intermittent hard start issues. It suddenly stopped and I had no issues for over a month. Then a couple weeks ago it started giving me some trouble and finally wouldn't start at all. I waited a day, went back and it fired right up but i noticed some oil on the ground. I parked it for a couple days and when I went to pull it into the garage it wouldnt start at all. Winched it in to the garage and pulled the vc's and hpop. The d plugs were in bad shape and the sct fitting was destroyed as well. Behind the sct fitting is some major rubbing evidence and the corner of the backing plate is cracked witch is most likely where the oil is leaking. What is involved in replacing or fixing the backing plate??? The d plugs and sct stand pipes etc all updated costs about $400 at ford. Any other cost effective maintanence anyone would recomend at this point? Thanks for any advice.

Adam

I would just silicone the backing plate, The dummy plug and standpipe kit is about $102 from Tousley Ford, th STC fitting is around $65 from them. Can you post a pic. ov the cracked backing plate? Kind of interested on how the STC fitting was hitting the backing plate

$400 for those parts!!!! HOLY CRAP!

Part number for the stand pipes/d-plugs in a kit: 6E7Z-9A332-B

Part number for the STC fitting: 4C3Z-9B246-F

Tousley lists the STC fitting for $38.50 and the stand pipe/d plug kit for $102.30
