Crank No Start...

Ok, So. I've read through every single post. Literally.... EVERY SINGLE POST... On FTE, Here, and PSA

2004 6.0
250,732.1
Stock (everything surprisingly)

There are similarities... But nothing remotely close...

Fuel Bowl Full
Oil Filter "Bowl" Fills Fast
New Fuel Filters as of 1 hour ago...
Batteries New (full voltage)
Quarter Tank of Diesel (pump diesel)

I could crank for hours, i smell fuel but i cant see smoke...
It has a stock tune, AFE Intake, "Straight Pipe".
26 Gallon Fuel Tank, Ranch Bed.

I cant think of anything else, ask away... My tools are limited... -_- There was a "tragic" garage fire.... (got robbed, then torched) and no renters insurance YEAY!!!!!!!:argh:

Here are the basics for the truck to start.
1: fuel
2:air
3:High pressure oil

For fuel that involves fuel pump working, FICm firing the fuel injectors

Air, make sure the turbo spins free as a stuck turbo will keep it from starting/ 04s might have a butterfly valve under the intake elbo that can get stuck and keep it from starting.

High pressure oil, need to build 525psi for the truck to fire, A bad ICP sensor can cause false signal but it can be unplugged and it should fire if HPpump is good. A IPR valve with a busted screen can cause it not to build pressure, a dad pump definately won't build pressure.
Test the FICm like it is described in the sticky section on top of the 6.0 section.

FICM reading is going to be pretty hard unless I can get a voltmeter :/

And I have new info.

It won't start when warm.. At all, but when I let it sit for 3 hours (39° out side) she fired right up.... I took her for stroll around my city till she was warm... Parked her at the hotel, let her sit for 5 minutes and tried to start her again... She just cranked... And cranked. That was it.

A no start and a no hot start are usually two different things... a no hot start is almost always a high pressure oil leak. Need to either read the ICP values with a scanner, OR, hook up compressed air to the high pressure oil system and pressurize it to find the leak.

Now the scam tool I can already say is a no go. I don't have one, and neither does any one I know.

And with that being said. Do these malfunctions literally come out of no where with no signs or symptoms ahead of time?

OH! and I unplugged my EGR about 7000 miles ago, IDK if that could effect anything. But I just remembered it haha

Yeah a high pressure oil leak will develop slowly and only get worse. Usually a failing o-ring.

The no hot start IS your symptom that something is happening and going to get worse... so take it as your sign to get it fixed haha.

Lol WILCO. Is hpop something I can replace in the drive way type thing? Well... In my case a hotel parking lot lol

It's all relative. Can it physically be done? Do you want to? I'm not sure of your capabilities so I can't comment. You will have to pull the turbo and probably the intake manifold to get at it.

However, just because there is a high pressure oil LEAK, doesn't mean the pump has failed.

Also... we're not even sure if it is a high pressure oil leak, although very common.

Where are you camped out, maybe we can find someone local to come do some diagnostics for you.

I'm camped out currently at a friends apartment. In Citrus Heights, CA.

I've done a couple of 7.3 too many jeeps and sadly my fair share of Hondas.:p

Do I want too... Hell no, does anyone ahaha but its kind of a need to do type deal-e-o.

I was reading about people with crank shaft sensor/ICP problems that are similar to mine.

This is about the time I start missing my workshop...
