Well what do you have done already? What's your maintenance schedule and what parts are you using? (oil/filters etc...). What's your long term goal with the truck and how do you use it?

Most of us just straight pipe yes. It's still relatively quiet when you want it to be but screams when you're on it. It will sound like a jet engine at idle.

MBRP is a really popular exhaust system, but on the pricey side usually. You can check with the sponsors here to see what's available. They'll typically match or beat any other prices you can find.

Welcome to DB.

I have installed summit racing, gibson and flowmaster kits in the past and the quality and the fit was way better with my MBRP kit, it was pricey but i think that you are getting a quality product

When I had my 04 PSD, I bought a 4" turbo-back aluminized exhaust system w/o muffler from AFE. It served its purpose well, and sounded bitchin! It took roughly 2 hrs to install (thats removing the old and installing the new). I bought mine off ebay for $282.00 shipped. But that was back then. WHichever brand you decide to use, go straight piped as it sounds the best...:c:
