Rev x with oil change

Was reading another forum about rev x and they were saying to add two 4 oz. bottles about 2500 miles into your oil change with a true synthetic oil. That way everything is broken loose and comes out with your oil change. They said that way you don't have to add rev x again the next time until the injectors sludge up again. They also said that if you add the rev x with the oil change that by the time you change your oil in 5000 miles that the sludge will have already adhered back the parts the rev x cleaned. What you guys think about to change oil been looking at Mobil one delvac 1. Looking for a true synthetic not a stage three like the rotella.

i have been running mobil delvac in my dodge for 2 changes now and the oil went from black to clear by the second change and im fixing to run in the 6.0 when oil needs to be changed. it also helps to change the filter about half way through the interval as well

Mobil doesn't even have true synthetics last I checked, they're still building their oil from a base of dino. It was a "false" synthetic.

Rotella T6 has been used and loved by a LOT of 6.0 owners. Amsoil is also another good one, Valvoline premium blue 5w-40 another, and schaeffers.

Add Rev-x when you change the oil. You'll need to add it at every fill up, it's an oil additive, when you drain the oil, the additive goes with it.

Hotshots and Evergreen AR9100 are other options.

I was told rotella t6 was still a Dino oil also and the delvac 1 was a true synthetic. Anyway gonna use a good oil but is there any truth to that rev x will clean it out then you don't have to use it again because it has already cleaned the injectors. Also do I go two bottles every time or just first time then go to one? I know the delvac 1300 I used last time is a Dino oil but it was on sale.

From my personal experience Rev X works. My 6.0 was running rough (bad injector I think) and I changed the oil/filters and used Rotella T6. After the oil change drove around the block to make sure no leaks - truck still ran rough. Poured in the two bottles of Rev X and drove around the block again and the Rev X made a big difference!

Right now I have a bottle of it sitting right here and it is going to be added to the truck as I am getting to roll on about 5,000 miles in the next week or so.

No you must use the Rev-X at every oil change, you can't use it once and then expect the issue to go away, doesn't work like that. Again, it's an oil additive, so as soon as the oil is drained, so is the rev-x and anything it was doing for your truck is gone too.

Do I switch to one after the two bottles the first time or two every time

I've found that two bottles works best no matter what. I know I've read some places that say one bottle after, but it doesn't seem to work as good IMO. You can always buy two and just add one and see what happens.

I put 2 bottles into my '06 service truck, and it seems to help. A little less chatter when it first fires up. I just with it didn't cost so much.

Agreed Ryan, it's not cheap. The Evergreen AR9100 is quite a bit cheaper, I'll be trying that next time. Evergreen also claims their stuff in theory should be better because it's designed on a more micro-level
