6.0?

i have heard alot of problems with these 6.0 engines but i want a ford. i want to know if there is a surtant year i should go for or milage or any thing. i am looking to trade in my 5.9 manual cummins for a 6.0 ford auto. i want it for the ford and the auto tranny. what do you guys think? i have had no problems with my 5.9 and i am worried about these 6.0s

Are you capable of working on them yourself? The newer the better IMO, but each year had their issues. The 05+ trucks are a lot better IMO, coil sprung front end, bigger brakes on the front, nicer interiors, but basically the same truck. Lots of little differences motor wise.

I'd try and find one at a decent price so you can put some money into it right away. A coolant filter, an oil cooler rebuild, coolant flush, some gauges, an exhaust, egr delete... it'd be a good start.:c:

Just keep poking around here, this question gets asked almost weekly.

The cummins you have will definitely be less trouble than a 6.0, no way around it, but if you do a few things to the 6.0, they're quite reliable.
