white smoke and no start :(
 

alright i was driving home one day and i felt a power loss..not a real bad one but it was noticeable..made a corner and truck dropped down to an idle and it died..would not start back up..only way i got it to crank was with starter fluid..got it home and tried messing with it..when the engine is cold it will crank and idle perfect..when you get on the throttle it wont go past 3000rmp and when it gets to 3000rmp it starts to spudder and throw white smoke..then let off it idles fine..when the engine gets warmed up it will just die from an idle and will not crank back up..fluids are good..no trouble codes as far as obd2..egr valve is clean no wetness..ficm is good..im lost..help please! truck is completely stock besides exhaust...2004 f250 6.0...177,000 miles

What is the build date of your truck? before or after 9/20/03 ? did your oil pressure drop to zero or was it still reading on the guage when it starts to die but still running?

7/03 and the oil pressure gauge was still up before it died..I got a video of what its doing I'll post a link in about 15 min

I am thinking right now that your HPOP has died but lets make sure before you buy a new one. If you could get it scanned for ICP desired, ICP actuall, IPR duty cycle, it would tell you if there was a issue with the pump.
This could also be a high pressure oil leak but it is not too common on the earlier trucks, an air test can be used where you hook a air compressor hose to the high pressure oil system and listen for leaks, there is a fitting you can get to hook it up.
Still bet it is the HPOP.

I agree, probably the HPOP going out, get readings for the ICP like Bob suggested.

Wouldn't hurt to just double check the oil level in the engine too.
