2004 injector wire harness

i have a 2004 f250 will a injector wire harness off of a 2003 fit the 2004? both are 6.0. Also do i need a special tool to remove the clips from the injectors? thanks

You can use a pair of needlenose to pull the clips out, real easy, you can use your fingers to pull them out if you can get them in there. I forget if the ICP sensor is on the injector harness or not, anyway the later 04 has the ICP on the pass. sid valve cover and the early 04 and 03 have the ICP sensor on the backside of motor.

as far as i can tell the only plugs on it are the injectors, could be wrong but there are only 8 plugs plus the one that goes to ficm, just was not sure if the plugs where the same on the injectors

Yes, all the injector plugs and FICm plug ends are the same. Be carefull with the little clips, they can fly off once they are pulled partially out, that is why I use needle-nose plyers on them, I always put them in my ashtray until I am ready to reinstall them so They don't go missing on me.

You find an issue with your wiring harness Eric, or just trying it to eliminate possibilities?

The clips are pretty easy to do on the injectors. Just make sure when you put them back they are fully seated. Also Bob is right, watch those clips sometimes they shoot off like a rocket.

I realize you were asking Mike but the answer is simple: The stock filter can me a pta to remove but it holds more dirt *filters better & longer* than any aftermarket filter. :choochoo:

For pure filtration properties, he's right, the stocker is pretty much the best out there. It will still support a decent amount of power too. I ended up going with an AFE stage 1 kit (very similar to stock) with a proguard 7 filter. I like the dry filters ONLY for turbo motors, or anything with an MAF.

Got the wires changed today. like a new truck now!

Eric, for giggles, can you re-test the FICM and see what the voltages are now? I'd just like to know for curiosity sake. Glad to hear that fixed it though! :c:
