6.0 injector maybe??
What are the signs of a injector going out? Truck acts like it does not want to shift after i first start it it will shift if i let off, last time it did this the FICM was bad. 2004 f250 6.0 sct tuner, egr delete. No smoke i have noticed a little less fuel millage

Usually you will have a misfire when they start going. Another occasion (which happened to me), when ui was doing between 45-60 MPH I could feel the whole truck vibrating. Made me think the transfer was going out but was just an injector. I'm sure there are other signs out there. So just see what everyone else says also
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Made me think the transmission was going out* stupid phone lol |
Well just pulled codes and got a p0611 which is the FICM code but i just replaced the FICM less than a year ago with one from Mike guess i need to check the plugs on the bottom see if ones lose.

Check those and wouldn't hurt to check the voltage to just verify.
|
I had Eric check the voltage, its dropping a little but down to 43-45ish, but that doesn't seem low enough to cause issues. Almost wondering if there is a voltage drop somewhere causing the FICM to read low...

I am going to re check it tomorrow when i go to leave work. Thats when i really notice the problem is when i leave the house in the morning and in the after noon after the truck has sit all day or night, Also mike i have noticed that the injector buzz does not sound very strong at all at those times. see if the voltage is dropping lower than 43 at those times is all i know to do.

Check your batteries also, that goes without saying though. Not to insult intelligence.

Thanks yeah we already checked them they are fine. Wish it was them lol they are under warranty still

Really the only good way to check the batteries is to have them load tested individually. I had you check the voltage on the batteries while cranking, but one could be good, one could be bad. I would have them tested individually on a load tester before we jump to any conclusions. It's quite possible the FICM is just giving up the ghost, but I find it hard to believe.
Though I have to say, I wouldn't mind getting that specific 7 pin back in my posession... :w2: hahaha. |
I checked them with a snap on vat tester, it checks the at load and not as well as alternator both passed, I thought about it and check them individually. Haha yeah I know you would I love that FICM.
