6.0L fuel pump question...

Can someone tell me why the return runs through it?

Is it a pressurized return or something?

check this out, it seems it is don that way to preheat the fuel for cold weather operation, the heater in the fuel pump has been deleeted in the programming from what I remember reading because it caused too many problems.

Great, thanks bud. I'm going to be running my return from My regulator and CP3 back through it.

I'm guessing it's the programming in the body control that runs the pump.

The heater was physically deleted from the pump area, I don't know that there was actually any programming for it, there is an updated wiring harness that eliminates the plug for it as well. If you have the fuel heater you can bypass it by simply unplugging the connection too.

I wonder why they felt the need for it to run through the pump again, that is odd. It is pressurized somewhat I'd imagine, just from the pump pushing it up that way, but it can't be much. Weird.
