7.3 diesel fuel leak
i am leaking diesel from my 2000 ford excursion, i have researched and find that the o ring eventually go bad/shrink from ulsd, in the drain valve behind the fuel bowl. and need to be replaced. i will do this, but i also have diesel coming from a half moon shaped hole that is in the pan that covers the torque converter. is this little hole supposed to be there? i was told it might be a drain for leaks so that the fluid doesnt end up going back into the system. need help quick!

Probably need to rebuild the fuel bowl.
The half moon thing is a heater for the fuel. Check this out. |

Thats a good vid you posted but removing the whole fuel bowl is very unnessesary. Just a waste of time. FBDV can be removed by itself easily.
So naturally, the video might also show how to remove it. :humm: But its a lot easier to remove it, however if you dont want to be replacing sleeves every few months :argh: you can get it off with out removing the bowl. Its just a pain. |
