Are those the stock wheels on your rig? If so - do you have any issues with rubbing? If not how did you resolve it, am assuming that those are the 7" wheels with 4.5 back spacing and 0mm offset. When I mounted even the 285s on there I rubbed on the leafs at full turn.

Those look like Weld Typhoons to me, or something similar, but not stockers.

JMM - your X is one of the first vehicles I've seen with DC-1's on that I've actually liked. Never cared much for those wheels, but they look perfect on your rig.

They are Typhoons...4.5" backspace but 10" wide.....they do not hit the springs.....and never have.....I did have to modify the inner fender in the rear with a heat gun.....and move the fron air dam be low the bumper as far forward as possible.

Thanks for the complement! I was a bit concerned about how they would look but it turned out pretty nice.

Yea - they looked to deep for stock wheels but and ngineer confirmed they are the Typhoons at 10". If I have troubles with the 305s (when I move to them so I can get the Es back on there) will look at those.

I like the old school look.....more tire and less rim ......the trend seems to be less tire and more rim but thats not me....I would go 17 or 18 but would not do 20's ........just my preference

Mdub707 12-04-2011 06:49 PM

I'm with you njneer, but too much tire and not enough wheel looks just as bad IMO. I think it just needs to be proportional. 44" tires on 15" wheels looks dumb to me. I prefer 17 or 18" wheels, but 20" would look good with a 37" tire or somewhere around there. 20" wheel and a 35" tire is about my limit, it's ok, but beyond that is getting silly. I've seen 22's and 35" tires.... weird.

njneer1 12-05-2011 08:22 PM

Only thing I like 22's on is a semi........don't much like 20's either.......18 would be my limit.....no matter what tire
