Let some air outa the tires for starters... Also the E's arent helping you much, tow heavy I assume?

Are your springs stock ??....if the are..... you are beating the bumpstops stupid.....get new springs......v/b codes from F250

Are those codes for 4x4s. Because i have a 2wd and coils up front. Whats the explanation for the poor ride on paved roads? I understand the dirt road bottoming out but not the paved road
Thanks

2wd Excursion... If your not happy with the ride now, your going to be really unhappy...

About the only thing you can do is go with a wider D rated tire and air it down a bit.

Get your bilsteins revalved too, I have heard mixed reviews with them on these trucks. Cary T would be the guy to contact.

Was thinking about ditching the bilsteins and going with something else. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your shocks may not be dampening due to being wore out, and you are just riding on the springs. I would start with the shocks (just happen to have a set for sale by the way - just cannot post up here due to low post count, they are stock replacement parts for a 2000 Exc).

Just installed my first set of Bilsteins and am very happy with their performance.

They are for the 4X4s - that is the mod I just completed on my 2000 - handles like a different vehicle! Very pleased. You may be able to do the rear but that will raise the tail end by a couple of inches for sure (am guessing I got 3"s ish...) so if you are not looking to lift the truck you may not want to go this way. If you do you will almost certinaly need to do some lifting in the front to keep it level.

Well the ride has been the same since i put them on about a year and a half ago. So i dont think that they are worn out and i have a 2wd i thougt i put that in the o.p. But maybe i didnt.
