6.0 Wont start
 

I was driving my excursion and i t was driving perfectly fine. I went in the store and when i came out it would not start. I can hear the pump kick on and I checked right by the filter on top of the motor and fuel is making it to it. The batteries have plenty of power and sounds like when i try to turn it over it is not getting gas. I also checked the FICM, it has 7 spots inside the window and from what i read up on was to test it by putting the negative on the grounding pointy and positive to the testing point in the row of four to the one closest to the passenger side. I got readings of 48 both when i tried to start it and with the ignition to the on position. so to my understanding if it reads those values its good. so i am at a lost of what to do next. Please help

So good, your ficm is perfected, you were able to eliminate that as a problem.

So I would first try to see what you fuel pressure is but you need some odd ball fitting to see what it is, and Ford really is the only guys to have it. But I have my own trick to get fuel pressure but it's a bit complicated. The reason I say this from experience, that yeah your fuel pump is working and that you got fuel in the filter housing and fuel rise, but if the fuel regulator it can Malfunction and dump the fuel back to tank. You easily take it apart and inspect the spring and the rubber washer/gasket that is on the little piston that the spring is exerting on and make there is no dirt either. But this is a rare scenario but it happened to me.

The next thing is to find out what is your icp pressure (injector control pressure). You need a tuner display or a fancy diagnostic tool that can read each sensors to see what the pressure is. There is really no manual way to find out find. The pressure has to be atleast 500psi for the truck to start. Lower and it won't start. And generally this is common problem for these trucks.

So start with this then we ll know where to go from here

ya i will be scanning it with the obd scanner, would this scanner be able to read all these pressures? you said that "but if the fuel regulator it can Malfunction and dump the fuel back to tank" will the scanner be able to read this or will I need to just pull it apart to make sure? If you don't have a tuner display, you can borrow one from a friend if you have to, you can easily unplug there's and take the display and cable and plug it in your truck. I've done that with a friend before. But to be safe, just return their truck back to stock before you unplug it, and there is no need for you to upload the tunes from the tuner into your truck, to use the gauge display of the tuners monitor.

No I don't think an normal obd scanner will read pressures unfortunitely. And fuel pressure can't be read. Ford never bothered in putting a sensor for fuel pressure. It's done manually. It's best to pull it apart and check.
