2000 Excursion HELP ME!!

Ok so I am a female, i don't know very much but can figure out a lot with someone telling me what to do, so please help me!! I decided to take the plunge and just go ahead and buy my 7.3 today, test drive went great found a bit of an oil leak and know i need to get to the bottom of that, but other than that all was well.....until the drive home when i got above 65...75 was where it started....vibration, fun woohooo, but a problem im sure, I am going to go get the tires checked and all the basics tomorrow, but what else could it be? It started around 70 and i got up to about 88 to check, it would settle down randomly throughout but mostly a pretty hard core vibration, enough that the passenger seat looked like a womans dream for a fun night, any how i would love suggestions on what to check with that. Then the oil leak, i know it has a bit of a very slow and minuscule leak from the oil drainplug, which im sure will be fine with a new washer on my next oil change, but thats not all, theres more oil than just on the oil pan, ill post pics im not sure where its coming from and haven't fully tracked it quite yet, but what could that be? and how do i find it and fix it? Thanks in advance!! Also any advice on getting this bad boy better gas mileage and sexier would be appreciated, please affordably, i don't mind putting the work in and getting my hands dirty :) Thanks y'all!

As for your vibration, you can also check the u-joints,You can also jack up and check the front end. Grab the steer tires and see if the wheel bearings are shot. What is the conditions of the tires? are they worn even ot uneven?Your tires could also be unbalanced.
As for the oil leak, it does sound like it could be the rubber o-ring wore out or over tightened, thats an easy fix.Your oil pan gasket could be leaking to.
As for getting better fuel milage, Diesels love to breath. So you can install a better air filter, and upgrade the exhaust system to a more free flowing system, and your truck can run better.

Hello I'm new here also.
The vibration you mention is most likely wheel balance, since you said the passenger seats movement turns you on your seat should have been shacking pretty good to- it must be the rear wheels are out of balance. If it were the front wheels the drivers wheel would shake like crazy I recommend you balance them all.
About oil leaks always start at the upper most leak since gravity and wind turbulence spread oil everywhere. Carefully high pressure wash areas of concern. Stay away from electrical connectors with high pressure water. That should get you going. Hope the info helps.

Turbo oil seals. Take turbo off find the 2 orings. Go buy the good rubber from Napa or an "oring seal hydraulic " dealer. Do it before the rest of your truck from front to back way up the rear window is covered in oil. YouTube diesel Ron he is good with the videos. If your in warm area? Get rid of ebpv. It's the butterfly valve on cast iron side of turbo molded inside pedestal. Or replace with new factory oem pedestal. Just don't take turbo off more than you have to. Check mount bolts inbetween oil changes.
