86 f350 turbo diesel, can anyone tell me how to bypass glow plug controller?

unhook purple wire to GP solinoid on fender. put pushbutton to that post on solinoid. manual GP now.

Thanks to all who helped bypass glow plug controller!
Can anyone think of any reasons my truck would die after about 10-15 minutes of driving, and start again after about an hour?

Ok so I unhook the purple wire, and run a wire from that post to a push button switch. Where does the other wire from the switch go? Battery?

sounds like you have a shut off solenoid in the IP going on the fritz ... :humm:
