axle transfercase ratio
my axles are 3.73 but idk what my transfer case is does it have to be the same ratio for it to work
|
no, Hi range in all transfercases are 1:1 ratios, thats why it does not gear the truck down any when engaged. The gears in the tcase couldnt be 3.73 or it would be like having the truck in Hi range, the transfercase would be matching 3.73 rotations of the output shaft which in turn is the same as the axle grear. So as long as both axles are 3.73 or what ever, your good

thank you because i talked to several different people and some said it had to and some said it didn't have to

who installed the 3.73 gears? that is not a factory gear. 3.55 or 4.10 is factory. rare ocassion to get 3.07 gears(dana 61)
