It says, "click".
Loaned out my truck to someone for a couple days and at some point the truck quit starting. Starter is about a year old batteries are charged and posts are clean tried to short it at both solenoids but its a no go. All it will do is when I turn the key, it just makes a clicking noise and thats it. Whats that 'clickin noise? :argh:
The clicking noise is usually caused by having just enough power to trip the starter solenoid and nothing else. If you jumped them and it still wont start I would guess your not getting enough power through them. What condition are you battery cables?
I'm going with cables. They might have tried to jump something or jump your truck in an incorrect manner and fubared something.
All I know is it was hotrodded for a bit. The cables are pretty good. they were very dirty, I cleaned them and it still acted the same though.
Have you tried tapping the starter while someone turns the key?
Guess I could. Lets see if my girlfriend can leave it in gear and kill me. Brb. Maybe :scare2:
