Frame mount/bracket rear leafspring
 

i found out the rear frame mounts/brackets of the leafspring at the back is rusty as f*ck.

its the mounts/bracket that is rivetted(dont know how to write it,2nd language) to the frame/chassis
i wouldn't like that to snap of with 60mph so that needs to be fixed.

-can i weld those?
-can i take them of?
-can i buy them new/ and where?

what to do what to do..

there is a cabin mount thats in bad condition aswel but its not dangerous, but that needs to be mended aswel.

who can give me some good advice,

they have everything you need. new hangers, shackles, bushings.



i would not even try to repair the hangers or shackles. just replace

1980-96 Rear Spring Hanger

my e350 has i think 3inch wide springs so this part fits?
do i need to replace shackles and bushings aswell?

should i go for original parts or is immitation fine,
i use the car 10x in a year, dont drive in rain and it's stored dry.

I will paint the part in epoxy paint anyway. just as the whole frame to make it sollid for many years to come.

i havent replaced ones on a van.... does the hanger look the same? if so it should work.


look at the shackle good. normally they rot out also.


if everything else looks good just replace the hanger then.
