Where did you get your engine stand from?

Here a while back, I bought a turbo motor with a cracked piston to have as a core motor for a rebuild project. I bought an AC Delco "diesel" engine stand, but come to find out, the damn thing won't hold onto the back of the block. I had removed the adapter from the back of the block, and tried every which way to make it work, but it simply wouldn't bolt up.

I need to get an engine stand this weekend, and was wondering where you got yours from? Did you have to modify anything to get it to hold onto the back of your IDI? I have a Northern stand, but I don't think it will support the weight of a thousand pound engine. At least I don't want to risk it. I bought it a while back for my SBC, back when stuff at Northern used to be affordable. I doubt its rated that high of a weight capacity.

Thanks in advance for the help.

i used a stand from northern rated for 1500 i belive. did bolt up, but wouldnt support the front. ended up making a brace from the bottom to the balancer to help support it till i got the heads and top end off. then it was light enough.

Thanks for the help guys. I eyeballed that harbor freight unit, and will run with that; just wanted to make sure that the mounting bracket/flange piece will be big enough to bolt up to the back of the block.
