3 Options, What Would You Do...

1. 198X 7.3 mechanical F350, extended cab, automatic, 2wd dually, needs 2 dually fenders and a hood, needs paint, has cooling issues, tires are ok, $$$1,200

2. 198X 6.9/7.3 (cant figure out yet) mechanical F350, extended cab, automatic, 2wd dually, banks turbo kit and gear vendors unit, body is decent but interior is shot and needs paint horribly bad, runs kinda rough from setting a long time, needs tires badly, $$$2,000 obo

3. 1991 F-SuperDuty 7.3 F350 regular cab, automatic overdrive, solid beam axle 2wd dually, 9 foot tool truck body, NEW jasper engine and jasper tranny, NEW injection pump, NEW a/c compressor and alternator, comes with NEW 100 gallon fuel tank in bed with NEW electric pump, NEW tires, $$$2,500

number 1 has the price, 2 has the stuff i want to do to a 7.3, but 3 for the price you cant beat all the new stuff plus its already leaf sprung so a dana 60 will bolt right under it.....what would you guys buy?????

You could get your money back plus some if you parted out #2. Talk him down to about $1600 and you got it made. Just look at ebay, complete turbo kits in good condition will go for $1000 plus, and the same for the gear vendors. Then you could get a good $300 out of the motor. Then just take the rest in for scrape. You would more than likely turn a good profit on it.

But after reading again, it looks like your looking for a parts truck, so I would say #3 in that case.

im not looking for a parts truck, im looking for another truck besides my cummins, im still keeping my cummins, just need a dang truck to go get the cummins LOL, i just want a ford with a mechanical 7.3 cause i like them. if i can get a shop built before too long i might "invest" in the 1st and 2nd trucks after i buy the third and try and make them right and turn a profit as a whole truck, or possibly just part them. im gonna go look at the 1st truck and again and see if there is coolant in the oil of if its a external gasket leak or what, could just be a horribly clogged radiator.

#3 seems like the most bang for the buck. Enjoy....
