jackin up the front end help please
as we all know a 20 year old truck with an 1100 pound 7.3 is bound to wear out a set of front springs,(touching the bump stops) how far up can a guy go with new springs before he has to drop the center of the axles to maintain a proper caster/camber alignment?
F250 with the ttb/tippyhorse front end(havent found a dana 60 straight yet lol) any help much appreciated thx guys i figured a couple inches but i dont want to do it and have a shop tell me they cant align it because its too steep from inside to outside |
You cant really go more than 1-2" before alignment is impossible without pivot drop brackets. You can get new oem springs or put an add-a-leaf in the front. I put a 2.5" add-a-leaf on an 85 F-250 with a 460, I also had a 300lb bumper on the truck. I was 5* off from being able to have a perfect alignment done. After a year I noticed the springs had settled a bit and it most likely could have been aligned.
