A-Pillar

Hey guys I can't find a A-pillar for a two gauge pod for a 86 ford f-350. Will a pod from the 87 and up body styles work or is the a web site or some place where I might be able to find one for the 86 and under body styles.

You can use the newer pod. I used an Autometer 87-96 pod in my 85. The only thing is that it will have a small gap on one side since the pod is rounded and the pillar has a sharp angle. I used double sided tape and it stayed on there just fine.

cowboyford16 03-11-2010 11:45 AM

Ya so you probily do some heavy haulin? And how much boost you get out of the banks I got bout 11. Powerstrokes are ok don't really care for all the electrical crap lol.:argh:

JC-6.9 03-11-2010 06:14 PM

yeah i like it but my 6.9 i can rely on it more, yeah i do alot of heavy haulin, i usually keep it around 10 to 11, but if i don't watch it it has gone to about 17 before...wich i hate not having a wastegate on it its kinda annoying:td:

cowboyford16 03-11-2010 07:03 PM

Ya heavy haulin is good if you do it for money lol. That sounds about right not having a wastegate can suck also. Whats yur milage on your truck and also where you get your gauge holder on your dash?

JC-6.9 03-13-2010 05:03 PM

yeah i love driving so hauling is a good fit for me lol, i've never really figured out my milage because i don't pay for diesel but with a really heavy load on the highway i think i get like 140-160 miles to a tank. That gauge holder was laying behind the seat of the truck when i bought it so i don't know where it came from but you might be able to find them on ebay or something, i know my buddy just bought one for his old cummins so i will ask him were he got his.

cowboyford16 03-13-2010 07:07 PM

alright Thank you buddy. Every lil input helps me and my truck lol

JC-6.9 03-13-2010 07:23 PM

ur welcome no prob. i'll let you know when i get ahold of him and ask him about the gauge holder
