NEW GUY

OK HERE I AM THE NEW GUY.:jump:. IN A COUPLE OF SENSES:

I HAVE AN 87 F250 6.9 4x4 AND IT IS SO NEW I HAVE NOT EVEN RUN IT YET..LOL

I got the truck Out of MD, with bad brakelines (rusted) .. leaking "O" rings, batterys that were toast. A transmission (C-6) with filings in the pan- Found when replacing the filter:scare2:. A missing center section of the rear window and a plow sitting in the bed..LOL Of course it was only used once to plow....RIGHT!!!

Anyway, at the moment I am about to try starting it and am a little confused about the fuel pressure.. Removing air from the system.. It has been a couple of months since running.. Oh yea, I did plug in the engine heater. I came out a couple of hours later to hear what sounds like the heater boiling??? bubbling .. Any thoughts?? I have added about a 1/2 gallon of antifreeze but that is not enough to indicate that it would be low in the engine..
Any thoughts?

I have gotten a set of "O" rings to replace the leaking ones which I will try to replace before trying to start. Ford wanted like $100 for the "O" rings so I bought them thru Advance for like $10.. Thoughts?? :td:

Long term questions about replacing trans with a 5 speed, Or one of the E60OD or 80 od?? automatics??

My game plan is to use this truck to tow my travel trailer while Cruising the country..So once I can get it dependable I will be looking to boost mileage..

Any thoughts are always appreciated,:argh:
thanks
Bob
