So I picked up a 93 f250 with a factory turbo'd 7.3, got all the receipts with it and found out its had quite a bit of work done to it. It has been sitting for a few years but runs fine, it was started occasionally to keep it alive. By the receipts it has rebuilt heads, and its been bored and resleeved. Don't know what the turbo exchange is havent looked up the part numbers yet. It has a full 3 inch straight pipe and what looks like an upgraded downpipe so it should be exhaling fine for now. I want to adapt a GQ patrol safari snorkel for an intake as the windshield angles are the same, the truck will be getting a high pinion Dana 60 and the stock 10.25 rear, it has a limited slip or a posi but haven't looked up the axle code. Getting custom leaf packs made with longer shackles and custom made heavy duty hangers. The truck will eventually be sitting on 40" military tires, and will see mostly dirt roads. My questions are about the motor. Is anyone familiar with having a bored 7.3? Can I still get parts from R&D? I'm planning on doing headstuds, and looking into getting the pistons shaved a bit and coated. I don't want to put down ridiculous power but I do want to put down as much as I can while keeping it reliable. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

if they just did 2 the cylinders prob had pinholes and would of been burning coolant .. or pushing air into the coolant .. they often sleeve them for that ..

yes justin at R&D still sells parts .. look up his website .

That's kinda what I figured especially with the rebuilt heads I figured it had blown a HG at some point. Is that something I should really be worried about? With the repairs it should be fine at this point, at least as far as I know. I do have some experience with the IDI's but not as much as I'd like so any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Ideal goal would be around 300hp and 600lb-ft while still being reliable but I know I do have to be realistic. I'm not power hungry but I love the sound of these beasts and just want the numbers to match.
