1985 F250 Banks Turbo'd 6.9 Fuel tuning Q's

Hello all,
I finally got around to adjusting my fuel screw. Got it turned up a little over 1 flat. Truck is running great and puffs smoke before the turbo spools, but i want to get it rolling like is supposed to from factory with the 60% haze from the exhaust at WOT. The allen key i was using was about 5in long and would twist with the torque. It got to the point where the allen key was twisting so much the screw wouldnt turn anymore, i honestly feel like the screw can be turned more than just the 1 flat i was able to get. Should I use a shorter allen key or make a custom tool using a socket and a sawed off allen key(I like inventing my own tools lol). Any help or tips would be appreciated, and if it would be better to just leave it where its at and get parts for my build to get more power thats fine too.

There should be seven flats, and it shouldn't be difficult... Are you sure you are going e correct direction?

You definitely don't want to break anything!

I was definitely twisting the correct direction, I didn't want to get too crazy becuase of snapping the screw. I think I wasn't able to get enough torque on the Allen key. I might try a shorter one or make the socket key I had an idea about.
