Cant afford a shop PLEASE HELP....
 

OK so I have a 1990 f-350 7.3 diesel with the 5 speed manual transmission.
I do not have a clue on where to start, shops told me it could be clutch tranny or transfer case and I can not afford the outrageous rates just to find out the prob...


Ok so prob is when you drive it as long as you are building speed she goes good. Once you level off its like you slipped it out of gear. You give it fuel again and once there is enough force she starts going again like you slipped it back into gear. While driving you can slip it through all the gears including reverse without the clutch and with no reaction. Reverse no longer works at any time, just forward gears as long as your building speed...
I think its the trans is shot but shops all say maybe not...

Since im new to diesel truck probs. I have to take there word for it. Please Please help need this thing for work...

sounds like you need a clutch.....there not to hard to do.
