84 f250 lift question

So I want to lift my 85 f250 6.9. It's a long box super cab. I want to put a 3 inch body lift and a 4 inch suspension. Should I use lift blocks or lift leaf springs?

Block for price .. Springs if you would like a slightly better ride .. :tu:

On a budget so block for now upgrade later

buy new U-bolts .. dont skimp there .. and make sure you do the torque correct on them or they can/will break sddenly when your loaded .. I found out the hard way .. nearly a real bad accident .. :td:

Make sure your U-bolts are Grade 8 .. criss cross tighten them and use a torque wrench .. Dont do it with a impact gun . I know its easier .. you will be able to sleep @ night by doing it right .. :tu:

good way is just to go blocks in back and springs in front because the front end takes most of the braking and theyve been known to flip out of the front. but if you run blocks in the front, torque them good and just dont go too tall with them.

When I use blocks up front or rear . I typically lay a nice fat tack weld on them on all 4 corners .. :c:
