Under bed turbo

Was wondering if anyone has added an exhaust in their exhaust, I have done this on a couple cars, but never on my own, and was wondering what the best turbo to use would be. I would route the plumbing for the oil and place a pump on it since it there would be no oil flow for the return, but can't decide how to do it

If i was to do this ... I would put turbo as close to the RH manifold and you would just have to weld a bung into the oil pan for the return ... and there's lots of room on that side ... least there seems to be on my truck ... :c:

I didn't want to place it in the engine bay just do to the lack of room compared to under the bed, also I'm going to replace my exhaust from the Y back , and have it exit in front of the rear, would it be best to go 3.5 straight with a 4 tip at a downward position

It would be like how dirtydiesel has his set up, minus the elusive turbo fab

for a turbo ... your gonna wanna keep the piping small and wrapped up so it has plenty of velocity and volume when it reaches the turbo ... havent seen DD's set up yet .. is it in pics ?

I thought about it too .. just needed to figure out the oil thing too ....

It is in the library of his picture I believe

I was going to plumb in a binge pump for the return flow

It will be dificult to meter the flow on the turbo return .... @ high rpm's your gonna need more return flow than @ idle.... not too sure how to fix that issue .. :humm:

I don't know how to do that either, where there's a how, there's a way, I just don't know it bahaha

There was a guy running a PSD turbo under bed, he liked it. You'll need oil pumped back from turbo to engine. What size turbo you going with? I'd try to make it in the engine compartment. Lag would be a bitch on a set up like that

I haven't really gotten around to this yet, been busy with a restoration project in my garage, and currently doing paint on my truck. I had thought about the powerstroke turbo, but not sure how I would plumb it. They would be my best bet as the junkyards around here have them readily available
