6.9 idi won't fire

I have an 85 f250 6.9. About 3 months ago she started actin up. I pulled into a gas station to clean my windshield went to start my truck and she would turn over all night but would not fire at all. Like it didn't have heat or fuel. And since I had just had it upto operating temp I didn't think the heat factor would cause it to not fire at all. I thought I should have at least gotten a cough at the very least. I had it pulled home the next day and got her to start. Started rough with white smoke and calmed down after awhile. I was able to take it to work and home one day but on the way to work she died 2 times when I cluched it and let off the throttle to stop. And she hasn't fired since. I replaced the injector o rings caps and return lines. Glow plugs because it was dew anyway. And bled the system I don't know how many times. I had a buddy helping me on it and he pulled the ip pump off without marking the time so I have the front torn off right now to get it back in time. But I really need some ideas of what my problem could be. Injectors stuck open. Ip out. It shoots fuel and if I pull the gp's out without warming them up before cranking it they are wet. I won't lie I'm fairly new to the world of diesels. Any ideas I am really great full for. Please let me know if you have one?

possibly the tack sensor ... right on top of the IP housing ... that sounds like its gone to a bad place ..... that's just one Idea ....... injection pump has a few sensors that control fuel also ... could be one of them ..... :humm: .....

Are you talking about the fuel cut off?
