nope , how hard is it to install one

If you are familiar with turbo charging then not really hard. No powerstroke parts will swap so either fab up some exhaust yourself or look for a used kit. Holset turbos work wonders on these old idis. I've seen used kits for around 750-1000. I have a banks but from what I understand the ATS kits are the shit.

Just be careful if you install a turbo, invest in an ARP head stud kit, the increased pressure had a tendency to stretch the head bolts and blow head gaskets.

Depends on your skills. Hard for someone with tools/knowledge, no. But hard for someone with no experience and limited tools, then yes.

I put an ats kit on mine and it did ok, then put a VGT holset on and made a great upgrade
