Seafoam is a fantastic product as long as you don't use it too often. Over use as I'm sure you've heard will dry out seals and o-rings. What do you plan on using this in, you fuel or your oil? In oil it really doesn't do much and if you were looking for a product to clen out youur crankcase i'd use Marvel Mystery Oil. If you've got a fuel problem, where is it? if you tank is dirty get some Clear Diesel, comes in a white bottle with a green label, Walmart or any auto parts tore should have it. If your problem is the lines being gummed up try some ATF. it works wonders in cleaning out the fuel system. The only time i would bother with putting Seafoam in a diesel is if your IP is dirty or your injectors are full of carbon. In this case pull off your fuel filter and fill it with straight Seafoam this should clean out the IP and the injectors, and no t wont hurt your truck. I run WMO and i do it every filter change which is about every 3-4 months, keeps things nice and clean and i can still climb 5 mile long 7% grades without hesitation at 70mph. Hope this helps

Another vote for Marvel Mystery oil. I didn't think much of it until I used it on my old diesel Benz, works quite well to free up sticky piston rings. I went from 240psi to over 300psi compression with just a 48 hour piston soak. It smells good too.

Another vote for marvel. I've used that on plenty of old motors that were seized or just had a bunch of sludge in the pan. You'll be amazed at what comes out of an old motor

thanks for the output. well Ive noticed there is a small amount of fuel on the top of the motor under the fuel injection pump, what would cause that? and can i fix it without buying a new one? but i used sum seafoam in the filter and it seems like it helped sum. so it wont be much help in the crankcase? i just would like to clean out the lines since its a old truck and i dont know how much the guy that owned it before me took care of it you know. also the battery light flashes with the lights out but when i turn the lights on the battery light goes off, anyone know?
