Ok.to all those i led to buy Treadwright tires i am truly sorry to have misled you i myself was taken in by the positive reviews and didnt see the problems with the product until it almost killed a a close friend of mine and his family.i became a distributor and sold hundreds of their tires.they failed miserably on the interstate including the tires on my own truck i had three occasions whare my tires got large bulges on them and blew out each time with my family in the truck.i have had it with recaps.my advice from my personal experience do not run them on the interstate if you value the safety of your family.it is not worth it dont let the low prices fool you.in this case you get what you pay for.

Any specifics?

Not defending Treadwright, as I have no experience with them, yet (tires come in tomorrow, actually), but I'd like to know the details as to what caused them to fail.

Okay. All the issues occurred on the interstate at highway speed in warm temps 75 degrees or warmer but what happens is the layer of rubber lay over the casing that the new tread is adhered to gets warm and separates from the casing allowing a air pocket to build a bouble if you will.that starts as a vibration then to a thump getting so severe it cracked my rim at one occasion this happened to me 3 times.my good friend once. Another good friend had one blow out on the interstate with his wife and 2 young sons blow then separated and destroyed his front fender then lost control and hit the divider cable in the median totaling his truck.watch closely for weather checking and cracks.many more problems with other customers. Just dont run em on the interstate.

That's a problem, since all I do is drive on the highway 90% of the time. :humm:

What other reports / reviews have you read that were negative? Could you share some links?

Only asking, since I've read a lot of reviews, from a lot of places, and have heard glowing reviews, with the very rare instance of failure, which almost always boils down to under/over inflation, or overload. I've read more bad reviews about Cooper STTs and General Grabbers than I have Treadwrights. The most popular negative review centers around balancing issues.

I don't doubt your claims. But, I found a bad review, and have the ability to ask questions.

That's the problem you dont hear the negative issues until its to late.but i thought they were the best since sliced bread. As a distributor i saw first hand the common warranty issues occurred in a short period of time such as the cracking and blistering or bubbling ive sold many of their tires and 50%the of them failed or were warrantied.i bought my first set 3years ago and each tire was replaced more than 3 times some people didnt have a problem but is it worth putting your life on the line i just bought a used set of tires off craigslist and feel much safer at that.

Yes you did buddy.what can i say i will admit i was wrong and apologize to anyone that i told to buy them.i almost lost a dear friend and his family cuz of Treadwright. 4 close calls myself deffinetaly not worth it.

Again, I'm not doubting anyones claims, but I have yet to see details of the failures: Vehicle, which tires (size, type, position), age of tires, mileage of tires, pressure, vehicle load.

All I've seen is 'highway speed, catastrophic failure' and some info on where the split occurred (which is greatly appreciated).

I got my tires today, and will have them mounted this week. I looked over them fairly well, and they look good. I'm going to have the person mounting and balancing the tires (who is a good friend of mine, and knows his stuff) check them out also.

I'd just like some info on what to avoid (and don't say Treadwright :tttt:), and what to keep an eye on.

You will just have to experience it on your own like i did.then you will change your mind.
