98 Dodge ram diesel with no tach, speed or oil
We have a 98 Dodge ram 3500 and at this time the speedometer, techometer and the oil gauge are not working. They are getting power (the needles move when you start the truck) but then they just sit on zero. We have check all the fuses and the connection at the PCM. Still nothing - any ideas?

Maybe its just a problem with the whole gauge cluster? :humm:
|
We did the self test on the cluster and the only message we got back was 950 which is related to the ABS (that light has been on for a while) so we are thinking the cluster is ok?????

98 cummins gauges not working
i own a 1997 dodge with the cummins now if it a 12 valve it may be the speed sensor located by the front damper. when it went on me i had no rpm gauage and no oil pressure fixed the sensor back in running order. now if its a 24 valve i wouldn't be able to help you sorry.

Thanks for the response - it is a 24 valve. Back to the drawing board!

The speedo is run by the sensor on the rear end... Maybe check that? :humm:
