I work as mostly a midrange Cummins tech and would love to answer your questions as best i can!

More of a comment - the whole KDP issue pisses me right off.

Also, the VP-44 but I think that may have been more of a Dodge issue.

You know one thing that makes me made. Is how on the 89-93 there are 2 different sizes of injectors nozzles. Its retarded!!!!! Thats all for now

Unfortunately the VP-44 is not only a Dodge issue, but also a Cummins issue, You just don't hear about anything but Dodge's having issues with the pump.

Yeah Freightliners run VP-44's if Im not mistaken.

Why are EGR coolers so expensive for a Cummins and so inexpensive for a Ford?

I'm curious about this as well. How has this been a known, potentially catastrophic issue for so many years, and nothing was ever done about it? I can't believe that after the first few years of putting the 12V into Ram pickups the design flaw wasn't rectified; and while I know there are plenty of kits out there already, it seems to me that I should be able to go to my local Cummins dealer and get a factory approved KDP fix kit straight from Cummins. Instead, it's almost as if they're ignoring that the problem even exists. What gives?

Its a john Deere issue to.. there 6.7L run em. there good pumps just gotta keep em feed well.
