Ever heard of Glowshift?!
Hi, I'm am wanting to buy I se of gauges for my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 CTB. I have been looking into a set of gauges called Glowshifts. They are pretty cool and are at a good price for the set and an a pillar mount. They have pretty good ratings too. Do any of you guys have any idea if these gauges are anygood or do any of you have any of these gauges? Your feed back would be greatly appreciated. :tu:

I have heard a lot of negative comments about them. Mostly about their lack of accuracy. Auto Meter and Isspro are very good gauges.
|
Yeah the glow shifts seem to read off and from what I have heard have some electrical gremlins as well. Autometers and Issprs are really good gauges
|
Ya hats probly why there so cheap....sigh...I was hoping to get a good deal o well thanks anyways
|
how far off are they because they are really cheap. say i cant afford to do all my gauging right now. are they so far off that they will really throw ya off? like reading 800 egt when its 1400 kinda thing? or are they just a little off?
|
Ya same question here...
|
:humm: If they're not right why bother, I mean if they can't make them acurate what makes you think they would be consistently inacurate :c:
|
because if i'm drivin it at the point where i really need to see my gauges i'm probly more focused on the road lol

Accuracy costs. Youre thinking is flawed. If you are going to put in guages that dont read correctly - save the money, take your chances and dont put any in at all. |
I have had Glow Shift gauges since February. They have been accurate. The main problem with them is if you get the tinted gauges, you have trouble seeing them in direct daylight. The pillar pod is not well made, so go with another manufacturer. Other than having to lengthen the wires, I have had no problems. I have the 3-in-1 boost, EGT, and Fuel Pressure, Oil temp, and trans temp, the trans temp is nt hooked up because I have a manual. These are on the Glow Shift triple A pillar pod. the 3-in-1 is a 2 3/8: gauge so I had to modify the pod for it.

Ask for a quote from out sponsors, they might be able to get you close to Glowshifts price with better gauges. I know I can't get the same deal anywhere up here as I can from our sponsors.

Okay I'll do that thanks!:tu:

i have a set of em on my 95 powerstroke. i havent noticed any problems with them yet. i have 2 complaints with them tho, i went with the tinted gauges and its a pain to see in the daylight, night time they look insane but suck during the day. my 2nd is that im 5'4", so being the short ass that i am its hard for me to see my top gauge. i called them up and was talking to a guy about them, according to him the package bundle they sell are lower quality gauge then the elite 10s that they sell. if i could do it over id either go with the elite s or isspro gauges

i have them in my 1997 powerstroke. (pyro, boost, oil temp) they seem to work really good. the onlt complant i have is the pod. it tilts the gadge up to high for me. and im 6,1 i love the gadges but i would suggest a diffrent pod. just my 2 cents.
