Default Down pipe for HX35

I was just curious, if there a way you can make a 5'' down pipe? Thanks

I don't thinks there are any available. Making one would be tight, very tight. A 4" is tight enough. You may be able to make one, be very custom and precise though. Personally, I don't think there wold be any gain.

it could be done, its a matter of clearances. I'd stick with 4". Generally you don't even get any gain from a 4 to 5" exhaust, I wouldn't worry about just the downpipe.

3.5" to 4" is only a small gain.

Not worth the hassle to go to 5 inch. Four is easier to do.

Thanks guys! Ive got the pipe welded and ready to stick on. Since i dont have a pipe bender, would it be ok to cut a 45' degree angle in both side pipes like a picture frame and weld them together or would that cause more back pressure?

You would then be putting "restriction" back into the air flow......better to go with a 4" "bent" tube.....or just leave it alone.
