I have both a 12V and 24V and Im starting to think a p-pumped 24V is the way to go.

The later 24V's are nice...usually have a nicer interior (darker color), tend to have more options, brakes are better etc Yes, I ealize these are are small differences.

The last issue of Diesel Power confused me. One feature said the switched from 12V to CRD so they could get more HP. Another one said the switched from 24V to 12V to get more power.:confused: I think there was another one in there, but I can't remember which way they swapped on that one.:sen:

You can do many things with many things. The simple and reliable way to get power is to stick with a 12V. The 24V and the CR trucks are great but can sometimes be "cranky"

There is an easy way to fix the rear brakes in the early second gen drum brake trucks. You swap out your wheel cylinders for those from a chev one ton. they are bigger, and apply more pressure, and are cheaper.

I thought the diesel of all diesel is a 98 dodge with the 12V.

yea i saw that and was wondering the same thing....i would love to have my 01 with a 12v in it....

Why couldnt they have just kept the Ppump and put in on the 24v's ? That would be nice to have a factory 02 24v Ppump truck.

I like my 24V because of the adjustable power and smoke levels I can use with the simple push of a button, but the next fuel supply system is gonna be a mechanical lift pump, I'm done with all these electrical junk things. This is belt driven right off the balancer wheel and increases fuel supply as your RPM's increase. With this I figure I can have the best of both worlds.
