6.7 head swap with 03 common rail

Ok correct me if I'm wrong but I was told that a 6.7 head is a direct bolt on to 5.9 common rail? And I was also
Told there would be an increase in hp and if so are they any obstacles to overcome electrically?

im sure it will bolt on right one...im pretty sure the 6.7 is just a bored and stroked 5.9 so...

I would highly doubt your gonna have any seat of the pants increase in power by doing the swap...

possibly better airflow, bout the most i can guess... havent had a chance to look under the hood of the 6.7 really but from the aftermarket intake horns they're wider which to me means more flow to accomodate a better flowing head... so if anything that's where you'd see the increase from not b/c its a 6.7 head instead of the 5.9

so more than likely its not worth the time and effort to do the swap? he said he can get me one for 150, and i was hoping maybe it would solve my tapping problem

150 bucks for a head? go for it man (as long as it isn't cracked) it can only compliment any other mods you do to the truck
