p-pumping a rotary pump cummins
is it possible to remove the original ve rotary fuel pump on my 91 cummins and put a p7100 on it? :humm: i was tossin that idea around because i heard you cant make a great deal of power with the original ve pump
As I understand it, just over 600 hp is possible with the VE pump.
well thats a lot more than i had been told i was told around 500 is the absolute tops with that
Gotta change the front gear case get new lines aquire the pump. Those are the main hurdles so no you just can't bolt it on per say.
you can make more power than you need for street with a ve pump in my honest opinion it is not worth it to swap a ve motor to a ppump plus everybody and their brother has a mean ppump truck we all know what they can do not many people have fast ve truck i think it would be way cooler to walk the dog on some ricers with an old stock truck with a rotary motor than anything else
the reason i asked is we have a 74 dodge w350 with a 500 stroker motor in it rite now that we are gonna take out and swap in the rotary ve cummins. thas why i was wondering
Nice! Whats the stroker goin into then? And If you already don't have the VE motor buy a 94 or 95 motor and be miles ahead with it. But you'll still have to take the timing case cover off to fix the KDP. Post some pics if ya can :pca1:
