Default Need Good Cummins Mechanic in Florida Panhandle

Now, first, I know all of you guys who are "do-it-yourselfers" are going to give me a hard time, but, I don't have the time, or more importantly, PATIENCE, to do a lot of the work on my truck myself.

I've got a basically stock 98.5 Ram w/ 24v cummins, and I want to do a few upgrades. Does anyone know of a good performance shop within an hour or two of Panama City, Florida?

THanks!!

Darren Morison of Pro Street Diesels in Cairo GA would be your best bet around here..... i know his number is in the distributer's index on www.HTTurbo.com ..... i have his cell if you can't get up with him just shoot me a pm...... PC is a couple hours drive from me i think...... it's been years since i've been there.....

EDIT : what are you wanting to upgrade..... i might be able to give ya a hand for a fair share of a 12 pack......

I'm planning to start with a 4" exhaust.... but also want to have someone take a look at fuel pressures.... (hear rumor of the bad lift pump all the time).... and figure out if my cummins is running right. I think mileage should be better. Eventually, will put in gauges... then go from there as budget allows... maybe a turbo soon, since when I pull off the throttle quick sometimes it sounds like the turbo is going to "eat" itself.

Will look up Pro-street and see about driving distance and then go from there.

Appreciate your response!

~150 miles..... basically take I-10 to Tallahassee go north on US 319.... right after you cross the line you will come to a small community called Beachton take a left on 93 run it about 10 miles and you'll start to come into Cairo.... look for smith road on your right .... take it and go about 1/4 mile and Mamie lane is a dirt road on your left.... go up it about a block and it'll come out to a clearing of sorts and there is 3 directions you can go.....take a right and you are headed right towards the shop..... tell Darrin i sent ya.... if he says Benjamin who just tell him that badass black and orange Dodge.....

+1 for Darren. he installed my exhaust and modded my valvebody so it would shift firmer and flow fluid in park. IIRC he is a Suncoast dealer. Hey Ben wasn't he a Pro Street drag race champ a few years ago?

i think so..... i do know he set a track record of 10.26 sec at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis in June 2006

i believe he is around Atlanta..... him and Darren are tight.... i mean any tighter and they would be .....

EDIT he is about 3 hours north of me.......McDonough GA

I can help ya with most things...and hey...I live in PC!! Wife's got an '01 QC DRW that we've completely upgraded the fuel system in, as well as a quad monitor. Now my 12v....me and my wife don't talk much about it. Started life as the proverbial I only want 300 horse or so then I'm done" type thing...and well...yeah....so drop me a line if ya wanna bump foreheads sometime and we can scope out your pressures and other overvalved personality flaws LOL.

I'm now free most weekends depending on my on-call status...up in Lynn Haven, but the shop is in Callaway. Lemme Know. Nextel DC 186*131331*1

We'll have to get together with the rest of the local boys...been a while since I've seen them all.......work has had me off the grid until recently.
