So my buddies at the firehouse are giving me hell because i melted my piston in my 05 but i got a new motor now so everything is good, but this one guy has a GMC 1500 that he pulls a 26' boat with and he started giving me grief because he said he was at the boat ramp the other day and a dodge( cummins to be exact) was struggling to get a jet ski out of the water. So his comment now is wow dodges can't even pull a jet ski out of the water. So any advice on how to shut these guys up? I did pull up the other day with my telehandler on the gooseneck which total truck trailer weight combo is 32,500lbs. And pulled away fine. He kinda looked like a deer in the headlights when he saw that. but i need a couple more suggestions.

 

see if he wants to have a upgrade pull off between the two of you say maybe 35,000lb. se who pulls a qurter mile the fastest

guy that worked with me at mack truck dealership has 06 cummins 6 speed 2500 and one day we got trash truck towed to our shop and was dropped outside the fence (we were closed that day)next day we had about 20 in of snow on ground.we tried puling that truck with large tow motor with chains and had no luck.he hooked up his truck and pulled trash truck into shop in low gear,spun the wheels litle bit on start and puled with no problem. he puled it about 100-120 yards.everybody that works there was outside and waiting for him to fail so they can laugh.lets just put it this way he had the last laugh


you can always ask your buddy to hook them up and do a little tug of war

whats his motor rated at? cute 5.3 can not come close to a cummins in any spec on the sheet.
